Jaw Crusher is widely used in mining, smelting, building material, highway, railway, water conservancy and chemical industry, for the medium-grained broken of variety of ores and bulk materials. Jaw crusher can break the bulk material into small uniformed particles, it is the corollary equipment of sand/stone making plant and ore beneficiation plant. Also it can produce road cornerstone stones and construction stone aggregate.


Jaw crushers have been developed for a long time. They have been used since 1806 and have been widely used by the public. They have been making progress and innovation with the progress of science and technology, and are still occupying a leading position in mine production. however, there are some reasons of why Jaw crushers have been so popular and what are the advantages of jaw crushers: 

1. The structure is simple and easy to operate, and the maintenance is convenient and quick: after reasonable design, the overall structure of the equipment is simple and efficient, and the crushing ability is enhanced while improving the performance of the machine. The operation of the whole equipment is simple in the process of use, which makes the daily maintenance work more convenient and faster, and reduces the downtime. 
2. Low noise at work, environmental protection and high efficiency: designed in strict accordance with environmental standards, equipment in the work of low noise, can reduce noise pollution. At the same time, it can be equipped with dust removal, resulting in less dust. Thus, it can effectively protect the surrounding environment and reduce pollution. 
3. The crushing process is adopted, and the digital parts processing equipment is used to make the internal structure precise. If the deep cavity is broken without dead zone, the material will not be blocked in the crushing cavity, which improves the production efficiency. 
4. The equipment is flexible and versatile: the adjustment range of the discharge port is large, which increases the flexibility of the equipment and can meet a variety of processing requirements. And the equipment structure is reasonable, the occupation area is small, can play a big role in the limited space. 
Although there are many advantages, but in the choice of regular quality or good equipment, otherwise everything is nonsense. In addition, the correct use, regular inspection and maintenance is also very important, otherwise no matter how good equipment, but also almost as much as a pile of scrap iron. If you want the equipment to work properly, the output, efficiency, discharge of finished materials to meet the standard must do a good job of daily work.



Working principle of jaw crusher. 
The crushing mode of jaw crusher is curved extrusion type, and the operation principle is to simulate the movement of two jaws of animals. When working, the motor drives the belt and pulley to move the moving jaw up and down through the eccentric shaft, and when the moving jaw rises, the angle between the elbow plate and the moving jaw becomes larger, thus pushing the moving jaw plate close to the fixed jaw plate. The material is crushed multiple times by extrusion, rubbing and grinding between the two jaw plates. When the moving jaw goes down, the angle between the elbow plate and the moving jaw becomes smaller, the moving jaw plate leaves the fixed jaw plate under the action of pull rod and spring, and the broken material is unloaded freely through the discharge port in the lower part of the jaw cavity under the action of gravity. With the continuous rotation of the motor, the moving jaw does periodic crushing and discharge to achieve mass production.


 


The return phenomenon may occur when the jaw crusher is working: the material is not extruded by the movable jaw plate and the fixed jaw plate, but by the extrusion feed port. This situation can not only reduce productivity, but also can cause harm to the body. This paper mainly shares the reasons and solutions of return material in jaw crusher. The reason for the return of jaw fracture. 
1. Problems with jaw crusher itself. 
The parts of the new jaw crusher are not in accordance with the drawing size, such as the length and thickness of the jaw plate, the length of the elbow plate, the angle of the elbow plate, the size of the inner cavity of the frame and so on. After using for a long time, the angle between the two jaw plates is more than twice the friction angle, so that there can not be enough friction between the material and the jaw plate to overcome the upward component of the crushing force, and the material is extruded under the action of vertical upward force and slips to the direction of the feed port. 

2, the force of the material is not balanced. 
The force of the material to be broken in the vertical direction of the crushing cavity is easy to be unbalanced, and the phenomenon of material return is easy to occur under the action of upward force. 
3, the width of the discharge port is too large. 
For the jaw crusher of the same specification, the larger the width of the discharge port is, the more likely it is to return the material. In the process of crushing, the material is in direct contact with the jaw plate, resulting in friction. The more serious the wear of the jaw plate, the greater the possibility of material return. 
4. There is too much difference in the size of the materials to be broken. 
When the size of the material to be broken by the crusher is very different, it is easy to return the material. 

The solution of jaw breaking and returning material. 
1. According to the material situation, use the appropriate specification crusher. 
2. When the jaw plate is worn and the material is returned, the new jaw plate should be repaired or replaced in time. 
3. When the particle size of the material is too different, it is screened first; the jaw crusher is pre-processed, and then the fine jaw crusher is used for finishing, which can ensure the processing requirements of the material. 
4. At the joint of the moving jaw and the movable jaw plate, a cuneiform plate is added to reduce the angle between the two jaw plates, make it meet the friction angle of less than twice the angle between the two jaw plates, and eliminate the phenomenon of material return. 
5, the guard plate can be welded above the jaw broken feed port to prevent the material from flying out of the feed port to endanger the personal safety of the operator.

Another phenomenon may also occur when jaw crusher is working is the Bearing heat. Bearing is one of the more important accessories on jaw crusher. It supports the structure of jaw crusher and carries the impact force brought by crushing material of crusher. Its performance directly affects the normal operation and production efficiency of the equipment. The heat of the bearing does great harm to the normal operation of the equipment. Therefore, the high engineer of the Hengchang Metallurgy reminds the users to pay attention to the heating of the bearing and the noise of the bearing, find and deal with it in time. 

The bearing heat of the jaw crusher refers to the bearing temperature of the jaw crusher when the bearing temperature is overheated or higher than that of the normal jaw crusher. This phenomenon is defined as the bearing heat of the jaw crusher. It is one of the common faults of jaw crusher. 


First of all, check the lubrication state of the shaft, grease should not be too much or too little, but also can not let the bearing work in the state of lack of oil, too much grease will cause the bearing to heat up.According to the standard of the lubrication specification, the grease in the bearing is 50% to 70% of the bearing volume to ensure the normal and efficient operation of the crusher. In addition, the grease needs to be replaced every three months to ensure the cleanliness of the grease, and it is strictly forbidden to clog the oil hole with pollutants. 

Secondly, check the tightness of the bearing cover and shaft, the bolt is too tight, the clearance is too small, and friction with the bearing sends out a large amount of heat, too loose, which will cause the shaking of the crusher equipment fuselage and cause unnecessary load impact on the bearing. The heating of the bearing increases and the temperature of the bearing increases. In daily life, the tightness of upper cover bolts should be checked frequently to ensure that there is a qualified clearance to avoid excessive bearing temperature.

Thirdly, contact the manufacturer to see if the bearing fatigue damage is caused by the unqualified bearing manufacturing process, and the bearing is subjected to the impact of additional load, once the rotary coaxiality tolerance of the bearing shaft increases, The bearing will be damaged by excessive axial force, and if the bearing continues to work, the calorific value of the bearing will increase abnormally. At this point, you should contact the manufacturer to find a maintenance method, if necessary to replace the bearing
