Full mud cyanide gold extraction process

The full mud cyanide production line is mainly used for the mineral processing of gold deposits. China began to use the whole mud cyanide gold extraction process as early as the 1930s. After entering the 1960s, in order to adapt to the development of the national economy, vigorously develop gold mine production. I have made great efforts to popularize the whole mud cyanide mineral processing technology in some mines. Among them, the full mud cyanide production line launched by Gongyi Hengchang machinery mining machinery is high efficiency and energy saving, and is widely used in the process of extracting gold from ore or concentrate in major mines.


Gongyi Hengchang Machinery has successfully established the whole slime cyanide concentrator of gold mine abroad. The concentrator of the gold mine adopts the cyanide leaching process of flotation gold concentrate to recover gold, and its technological process is acidizing recovery process. In recent years, with the change of mining depth and orebody, the ore properties have changed obviously, resulting in the decrease of gold and silver flotation recovery, and the extensive use of flotation reagents also affects the gold leaching rate. For this reason, the small-scale full-mud cyanide leaching process was studied, and the oxygen-rich leaching test was carried out. The original flotation-cyanide leaching process was changed to direct full-mud cyanide leaching process, and the lean liquid was recycled, which greatly simplified the production process. The production cost is reduced. 


At present, the existing cyanide plants in gold mines in China basically adopt two types of gold extraction processes, one of which is for continuous countercurrent washing. The so-called conventional whole mud cyanide process for gold recovery by replacing and precipitating gold with zinc powder (CCD method and CCF method), the other is that there is no need for filtration and washing. Using activated carbon to adsorb and recover gold directly from cyanide pulp, the technological process of unfiltered whole slime cyanide pulp (CIP and CIL) was used. 


China's gold reserves are limited, rich reserves are very small, most of them are of medium grade or low grade, and show a downward trend year by year, but the demand for gold in our country is gradually increasing. In order to obtain high grade and high recovery gold concentrate in low grade gold ore, the ore dressing industry has been working hard. 
The most commonly used separation processes for gold dressing are gravity separation, flotation and cyanide, among which gravity separation is commonly used in placer gold deposits, flotation is mostly used in rock and gold ores, and cyanide is suitable for refractory gold ores such as oxidized ores and flotation concentrate. 


Gravity separation is an ancient method for gold separation, which is usually used as an auxiliary process. For example, coarse granular gold deposits and placer gold deposits can be pre-enriched and recovered by gravity separation in the grinding circuit. The purpose of this paper is to create conditions for the subsequent flotation and cyanide process. For the gold deposits with coarse particles, the flotation or cyanide process can not achieve a better separation effect, but a higher separation index can be obtained by using a single gravity separation process. Therefore, the gravity separation process has the advantages of high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection. At the same time, it is also a more economical mineral processing technology.

 
Flotation plays an important role in the separation of gold deposits. According to statistics, about 80% of the rock gold deposits are separated by flotation technology. In addition, the sulphide gold ores with high floatability are also treated by flotation, and the effect is remarkable. The flotation method also has some limitations and some shortcomings: for example, it is difficult to use flotation for coarse gold ore, at the same time, the use of flotation reagent in the flotation process will cause certain pollution to the environment and the flotation reagent system is also difficult to determine. Therefore, the combined process of flotation and gravity separation is usually used, which is also the main development trend of flotation process for gold ore separation. 


Gold cyanide is the main process of gold extraction. There are mainly two kinds of gold cyanide processes: one is the adsorption and recovery of gold from cyanide slurry by activated carbon, also known as full mud zinc cyanide replacement method; The other is to replace the recovered gold with zinc powder after washing by thickener, also known as full-mud cyanide carbon slurry method, that is, CIP. Compared with the zinc replacement method, the carbon slurry method can not only save the investment of solid-liquid separation equipment, but also reduce the amount of cyanide reagent and protect the environment. In addition, the carbon slurry method uses a wider range of gold deposits. Some gold ores with high mud content and poor filtration performance can be treated. Therefore, cyanide carbon slurry method is widely used in concentrators to separate gold ores. 


At present, there are many units that can design the cyanide process of gold deposits in China, among which the more advanced one is Gongyi Hengchang Mechanical Mine, which has more than 10 years of experience in gold process design, and the highest recovery rate can reach more than 95%. The CIP mineral processing process of Hengchang machinery can be divided into three stages: pulp preparation stage, cyanide stage and carbon slurry gold extraction process. The pulp preparation stage mainly includes crushing, grinding, adjusting pulp and adjusting pulp pH value, etc. The main purpose is to provide suitable pulp for the cyanide stage. The cyanide stage is the top priority of CIP, which is mainly to cyanide the gold deposit and make the gold ore dissolve into the leaching solution. Gold extraction by carbon slurry method mainly includes adsorption, desorption, gold precipitation and desorption carbon regeneration. After adsorbing soluble gold in ore pulp, gold-bearing carbon and pulp are separated by carbon extraction screen, and gold-bearing carbon is desorbed through desorption tower to obtain precious liquid rich in gold. The expensive liquid enters the electrolytic cell to precipitate to obtain the gold concentrate, and the desorption carbon is regenerated and returned to production and reuse.
